Situated in the car park outside the Green Point Stadium in Cape Town is one of the largest markets you will find in the City. The market runs every Sunday and Public Holiday from 9.15 to 17.00 and is always alive with people, music and crafts from A – Z. You will find loads of traditional African art pieces, curios, books and CD’s and just about anything and everything else you would expect to find at a craft market. It is very interesting to talk to the traders who come from all over Africa to sell there goods. Besides the usual tourist kitsch you can find exquisite peaces of art at surprisingly low prices. We always buy more than planned and have never regretted a buy! Live entertainment performed by various street artists will keep you entertained if you want to rest your feet from pacing the market. There is also plenty of food and beverages that you can buy from street vendors.
